Add mirrors? Well, yes, that would work. Employ double duty furniture, like a sofa that becomes a bed? Sure, that helps. But, in my experience, the best way to make a 289 square foot cabin seem HUGE is to move into a 75 square foot truck camper, with actual floor space of about 8 square feet!
We left Calgary later in the day on the 24th of October and started on our way to Kamloops. We have driven this part of the Trans-Canada highway many times, but this time it felt different, knowing that we wouldn’t be seeing these amazing views for a couple of years. Is it possible to feel homesick when you are less than 3 hours from home on a trip of up to two years?
We have been making our way west and then south pretty fast, staying with friends and relatives, in casino parking lots (they let you camp for free and the rest rooms are available all night long!), in state parks, one night on a coastal highway pullout overlooking the ocean.
We had hoped to spend some time in San Francisco, but decided we needed to keep driving promising ourselves that we would come back to San Francisco one day and see all the sights.
We have spent the last two nights in Sunnyvale at a friend’s house, and after being treated to amazing meals and great company and nice hot showers, we are back on the road today. We are hoping to cross into Mexico in 3 days or so.
